Join the Lab

Undergraduate Students

If you are an undergraduate student who is looking for research experience and interested in learning about African environmental archaeology, the OBT Lab may be a good fit if you. Students must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week during the semester and/or 15-20 hours per week during the summer, for at least two semesters. In addition, students must be able to attend a weekly lab meeting. Students must be highly responsible, reliable, motivated, and dedicated to conducting high quality collaborative work. Good attention to detail and the ability to carefully follow directions (e.g. protocols for data collection) are also important. Finally, it is important to have the capacity to work independently (while having the judgment to know when to ask for assistance).

Graduate Students

If you are interested in working with the OBT lab, feel free to contact Dr. Douglass via email [email protected] to introduce yourself. While we are not accepting new PhD students for Fall 2023, we are always happy to speak with interested students and undertake new collaborative projects.
